The Turvallisuusjoukot (Security Forces) is the main organisation responsible for the defence of Pradaria. It is made up of three branches, the Army, Warfleet, and Medical Corp, though the unified structure of the defence force renders these branches as little more than administrative divisions. The Turvallisuusjoukot is also assisted by the (home guard), a separate force.

Warrant Officers in Pradaria serve as technical, specialist and as generally non-executive officers. They preform roles such as pilots, skilled technicians, complex vehicle crew and other specialized roles. They fulfill roles that in other militaries would normally be occupied by commissioned or senior non-commissioned officers that do not require the command and leadership capability outside of their specialisation. Warrant officers may occupy some command and executive positions. On larger bases they are billeted in separate accommodation to other personnel, and may occupy their own Club. More typically they will billet within the Sergeants Mess, but will not dine with them.

Small ArmsEdit

Weapon Caliber Origin Notes
Sidearms
Pistooli m.3 7.65x17mm Template:Flag The Pa.3 is the service pistol of the Pradarian forces. The basic design has been in service since the mid 1930s and has been improved twice, first in the 60s and again in the late 80s. The compact design is is considered an odd choice for a military pistol, but in an age of jets and long range missiles the requirement of a large combat pistol was considered to be unnecessary. Generally only senior NCOs and Officers in combat arms are issued pistols. It is regarded as a simple and reliable sidearm, and has long been favored by Pradarian soldiers for its relative light weight and compactness.
Raskas Konepistoolin 7.65x34mm Template:Flag Designed as a heavy submachine gun during the 1930s, it was intended to be issued to sections as a hand held machine gun, to fill the perceived gap of automatic firepower between the infantry machine gun and the submachine gun. While some have considered it an early form of the assault rifle, it typically saw use as a squad automatic weapon and there were never plans to issue it en mass to soldiers. While service life in the Army was short, it still finds considerable use in the Homeguard where it is issued to roughly half the riflemen in an armed section.
Rfiles
Automaattinenkivääri m.40 6.5x55mm Template:Flag The Akranes foundry rifle g.38 was the first new rifle adopted after the Great War as part of a universal infantry weapon program. The program was a failure and cancelled with only the rifle accepted into service as the Automatkarbin model 1940. It is a air cooled, direct impingement rifle that fires the 6.5mm infantry cartridge from a 10 or 20 round magazine fed from stripper clips. Although a somewhat archaic design it still equips some homeguard units, where it is being progressively phased out, as well as Security Forces sharpshooters.
Rynnäkkökivääri m.58 5.56x45mm Template:Flag The Rk58 is the service rifle of the Security Forces. Gallan design built in Pradaria under licence, it features extensive modifications, the most notable being Made in Pradaria stamped into the magazine well.
The Rk94 is a newer variant now equipping soldiers. It features a shorter barrel length, new adjustable stock and modified iron sights and carry handle, designed to attach the expected combat optic. It is likely closer to the Rk58k.
Rynnäkkökivääri m.58k 5.56x45mm Template:Flag The Rk58k (karbiini) is a carbine length variation of the service rifle. It is officially issued to vehicle crew, support units and other Security Force members who require a more compact weapon than the full length rifle. It however often finds its way into the hands of non-commissioned and junior officers.
Machine Guns
mmg 6.5x55mm Medium machine gun
Kevyt Konekivääri m.65 5.56x45mm Template:Flag The KvKk65 is a belt feed section machine gun designed in the 1960s to complement the lightweight Rk58 and its high velocity cartridge. A pair is generally issued per infantry section. With the introduction of the Kk66, new built and modernised models are referred to as KvKk65 (Kevyt, light)
Konekivääri m.66 6.5x55mm Template:Flag The Kk66 is broadly a Kk65 redesigned to fire the larger 6.5x55mm round. It was intended to replace the _mmg_ for general use, as it was believed that conscripts would only need to be trained on the single machinegun system to operate light and medium machineguns.
Shotguns
Haulikko 12 gauge It's a gun that fires lots of small metal pellets and fewer large pellets. It gets cut down because soldiers enjoy watching too much tv.

Land VehiclesEdit

Weapon Type Origin Notes
Tanks

Fighting vehicles
Rynnäkköpanssarivaunu Rpv.90 Infantry fighting vehicle Template:Flag The Rpv.90 is an Pradarian designed infantry fighting vehicle. It features a 3 person crew and in standard configuration carries a 9 person infantry squad. A 35mm cannon and 6.5mm coaxial machine gun make up the vehicles primary armament, while mounted infantry can utilise firing ports to fight under armour and ABC protection.

The basic platform has been adapted to for a wide variety of tasks, and along with the Rpv.90b is planned to replace the majority of tracked infantry and support vehicles in the Pradarian forces.

The Rpv.90b is an evolution of the Rpv.90 design being broadly the simular with the exclusion of the turret being the most obvious change. The removal of the large turret of the Rpv.90 allows a much larger internal area enabling the carriage of more troops or equipment under armour. This simplified design also lends itself well to more extensive modifications such as armoured bridge layers and recovery vehicles.

Personnel carriers
Panssariautopalvelut Pa.84 Armoured personnel carrier An older 6x6 personnel carrier imported from xx in the 19xxs. Serves in numerous roles. It is the cavalry mount of Army mechanised infantry and Navy sailor soldiers. Naval versions probably have band tracks or something silly over their wheels.
Panssariautopalvelut Pa.94 Armoured personnel carrier Template:Flag A newer 8x8 personnel carrier designed to replace the apc1 in mechanised infantry units. Standard mounts either a light automatic cannon or 6.5mm machine guns in a one person turret. Units that serve in scout groups may be armed with the same 35mm cannon from the Rpv.90, though this cuts down on dismount size.
metal box Armoured personnel carrier Replaced in the mechanised infantry role by Rpv.90, it now serves as a general personnel carrier and tracked carrier. It is being progressively phased out in favour of Rpv.90 and apc2.
